About Sherrod Baltimore
Twenty Seven’s Story
Sherrod Baltimore is more than a professional defensive back, he’s a mentor, a leader, and a
proud pillar of the Ottawa community.
Born on October 5, 1992, in Fort Washington, Maryland, Sherrod’s path to professional football was never guaranteed. Through perseverance and relentless determination, he earned his opportunity—first at the University of Maine, and then in the Canadian Football League, where he signed with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2017 and quickly made his mark as a standout rookie.
But what makes Sherrod truly special isn’t just what he’s accomplished on the field, it’s what he’s built off of it.Since making Ottawa his home, Sherrod has embraced the city with purpose. He hasn’t just played for the community, he’s invested in it. He’s shown up for its youth, poured into its families, and made it his mission to give back to the next generation that reminds him of where
he came from.
Growing up alongside six siblings, Sherrod understands what it means to face adversity. He knows what it’s like to need guidance, support, and someone to believe in you. That’s why today, he is deeply committed to being that person for others.

Empowering Future Athletes
Through camps, mentorship, and community events, Sherrod creates opportunities for young athletes across Ottawa, not just to improve their game, but to believe in themselves. To see discipline. To see character. To see what’s possible. To many kids, he’s more than an athlete—they see a role model. Someone who looks like them, understands them, and genuinely cares about their future.
Commitment to Excellence
Sherrod Baltimore plays for Ottawa—but more importantly, he shows up for it. Because for him, success isn’t just measured in tackles or interceptions—it’s measured in the lives he impacts along the way.
